Searching for metal with good clean vocals [think of the vocals from a classical music point of view to know what i deem "good"] such as those found on:[band-album] Empyrium - Weiland, Opeth - Blackwater Park, Moonsorrow - Kivenkantaja, Katatonia - The Great Cold Distance, In The Woods... - Omnio, Novembre - The Blue, etc. Also, please note that i am indifferent to the sub-genre of the metal the clean vocals are included in. Thanks in advance for any recommendations

Needs moar Bathory.
(Though you won't find the clean vocals mixed with anything else on some albums, and you'll only find black metal vocals on others. I suggest you get Hammerheart or one of the Nordland albums)

The Project Hate MCMXCIX has good clean female vocals with male growls.

agalloch employs clean and harsh vocals (on the mantle and ashes against the grain at least) and are also an amazing band. highly recommend agalloch
also I am just checking out sculptured's first album and it might fit the bill too, though I'll wait to see how prominent the clean vocals are

Disilussion (Back to Times Of Splendor LP)
Hevein
Novembre (Not near the genres you listed or well similair to the bands however a great great vocalist on this *note parts of the lyrics are in Italien)
Raunchy (eventhough the vocals dont switch over to completly clean it's still a crystal clear tone)
Satariel-Hydra album
Virgin Snatch (more thrashy actually but still a great vocalist)

Nightrage has some great clean vocals, their second album especially. I haven't listened to them in awhile, but I recall liking them quite a bit.

New Anaal Nathrakh - theyve consistently used an increasing amount of clean vocals since their second album

In the woods... - i only have the self titled, which is mostly folk/black, and its superb

Raate - folk/black

Primordial - newer music uses clean vocals, older music is BM with some folk influences. the new album is great and uses quite a bit of clean vocalage

thats just a few... pretty much anything that has folk influences is gonna have clean vox, but not necessarily

yeah in folk ive noticed that generally bands implement some form of clean vox [Moonsorrow,Ensiferum,etc.]...and thanks for recommending Anaal Nathrakh & In The Woods i think im going to enjoy their material from what i've listened to

Empyrium?

yes quite good, the use of the backing "choir" sound in the song 'mourners' is comparable to what moonsorrow uses in a multitude of their tracks... i have to say one of the best recommendations thus far

Self titled? There is no self-titled. Maybe you're talking about HEart of the Ages. Which is a superb album. Also, Omnio and Strange in Stereo are pretty much sung entirely in clean vocals.
Get In The Woods... - Omnio, Darkheartedsoul769. You will not regret it. I think I've uploaded it somewhere in the rapidshit thread.

hmm... In the Woods... it was very good with the blending of the male & female vocals for a good harmony in parts of some songs [299.796 Km/s]. Overall i can say that the band and album recommendation were great... Much appreciated.
