JMT are great. I've found I only really like rap if it has a meaningful or positive message, such as Public Enemy and Nas (Illmatic and the new album are great). I don't really like that Fuck Bitches Get Money shit. And you can't go wrong with Run DMC. |

Check out Method Man's Tical. It's one of the best rap albums i've ever heard, with dark beats and smooth vocals. The title track is the best! |

Does Rage Against the Machine count as rap? |

Been listening to a LOT of hip hop lately. Discovering some shit that I've been ignoring that most people have already heard of. Listening to some old school shit too. Very heavy on jamming the west coast shit. I discovered for myself, The Game, who is fucking incredible. Been rocking his whole discography and it's great. Also been listening to the following: Big Punisher Fat Joe Terror Squad Wu Tang (and everybody's solo albums, especially RZA, Method Man and Ol' Dirty Bastard) Dr. Dre Ice Cube Mos Def Talib Kweli NWA Easy E D.O.C |

some of the roots albums are actually pretty good, a lot of people dont like them because their more mainstreamish but yeah 3030 i think is one of his weakest albums, grey matter is the worst song ive ever heard probably i do like a little bit of Heiroglyphics though edit: how could i forget MOOD Last edited by DOJOMASTER; 06-02-2010 at 11:54 PM. |
